Ah what a wonderful day. For a full day, i’m with MT families waiting for him, RPK to be released and then zooms off to Seremban for the candle vigil which RPK attends. For once, i believe in JUSTICE.
Starts the day very early, from Kajang to Shah Alam. As i’m not familiar with Shah Alam’s road, i drove there at 6.40 am, and reachs without getting lost at 7.40 am. But no, i’m not the earliest. There’s a few supporters there already, waiting in the front poach. As time goes, more and more people arrives, all here Shah Alam high Court to support RPK to seek the habeas corpus for his release from ISA detention.
Gets to know many people, The Whisperer and many others. Among them, Neesa, who told us her experience last Sunday after she attended the PJ candle vigil. On her way back, she was stopped by police at the roadblock because she was wearing the Orange colour No Holds Barred. They asked her to stop by the roadside, and made her to wait for 20 minutes before they question her. The police keeps on asking whether she is a member of HINDRAF knowing that the shirt had a big FREE RPK at the back (Niamah i guess they are blind). Not enough with that they searched her car for any WEAPONS. If this is not intimidation, then i don’t know what is. All she do was wearing a T-Shirt, and because she is a Malaysian Indian, they wants to link her with Hindraf, not enough with her denial, they searched for something to arrest her. Thank God she don’t have even a small knive or something, if not i guess she will be arrested. This again reminds me of our USELESS PM with his IPCMC promise. Since i talk on fuck lah, maybe kenny sia latest post will be of good interest to anyone who didn’t know him.
About 9 am, with many supporters accompany Marina to the court room. There were so many of us that we jammed the courtroom. I quickly get a seat, because my experience in PJ Magistrate court told me that i have to squeeze one fast before any small place will be taken up fast, i mean really FAST. A bench meant to squeeze for 10 person already had 12/13 people on it, with 3 benches on my side (not including the bench for RPK’s family), another 2/3 on the other side, i guess we numbers to about 60-70. All of us just wants to be there with RPK (even though he was in Kamunting), so we don’t complain much about the squeezing. After all, we are one big family. (Haris managed to snap a few pictures in the court. )
The Judge Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed arrived later. The Judge began by reading the Internal Security Act (ISA) Laws, from What, When & Why it could be used to the history of it being used in Malaysia as well as some qoutes from the previous judgement. I don’t understand but let me summarize it as this ;
Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla …………………………
Suddenly the Crowd: Ah!!! A big breath… and i begin to pay more attention, and the Judge said;
In my opinion, RPK arrest/detention was wrong and he should be free.
We all simultanously shouted YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We burst into excitement and begin clapping our hands. I only heard once YES, that means all 70 of us shouted at the same time, see, this is what i meant by one big family, we are all spiritually connected. Of course, The Judge had to stops us, “This is a Court, ok so don’t make noise” but he said it with smiles
By this time, Marina and daugthers are all crying, of course many of us in tears as well. For once, i believe JUSTICE PREVAILED. RPK’s lawyers, represented by Malik Imtiaz, then continued to seek his released in the court on the same day. Of course, the prosecution team wants to drag on, claiming that since RPK is still in Kamunting, he can’t be released today, but The Judge, is very firm, telling off the lawyer that today is Friday, it’s not fair to held him another 2 days in Kamunting, so he asked the police to immediately bring RPK to court NO LATER THAN 4 PM!!! And the session ends around 10am. All of us happily walks out of the courtrrom, many others who arrives late was waiting outside.
Argh, it’s only 10 am, and we have so many hours left, where to go leh????? Luckily we have Prof Robert (ISA detained YB Manoharan’s PA) who suggested that we go to Shah Alam Club House for lunch and wait there.
At the Shah Alam Club House, we were entertained by Dreamlady, with her fortune telling oohh spooky..
She is really good, multi languages from Malay to Mandarin, to Hokkien, Canto, wow impressive. By now, i guess we should see the Muhibah spirit, all Malaysian regardless od race came for the same reason. We saw news of RPK’s release being run all over news station, from BBC to CNN.
After speending many hours there, we went back to the Court. YB Ronnie Liu has come and i spotted YB Lau Weng San as well. Earlier, Dato Kamarul also come all the way from Seremban. Many many journalist has come, all waiting the man.
Around 3pm, i saw a van parked at the poach, looks like the van from kamunting. Hmm… try to peek inside, but it’s 100% tinted. Shortly, a man came out, yes it was him Raja Petra Kamarudin!!! The reporters all stroms surrounding him, i was trying to catch his phote but those reporters is just too crazy.
I quicklly rushed up to the courtroom, all in my mind now get a seat, get a seat, get a seat
Inside the courtroom, Malik Imtiaz and Haris Ibrahim reminds us again, to remain calm, even after the Judge declared RPK is FREE, don’t clap, don’t shout. OK OK we will try, haha all of us is just too excited.
After RPK was brought in, RPK, Marina and daugthers all embrace in tears. Again the courtroom was full house, even Zorro had to stand at the back. The Judge arrives, and it starts again.
Judge was very happy with the profesionalism shown by the police who managed to bring RPK all the way from Kamunting before 4 pm, and then he declared that RPK IS FREE!!!!! We all waited for the Judge to went away before we burst into joys!!! Many rush to RPK, to congratulate him.
I have to fight off many reporters, who i would say behave very very RUDE with their supersize bag, they just bang and bang others, who like them also wants to snap some pictures. Worst of, how many of their pictures were published? I guess they are not there to snap pics, but to prevent others from doing so.
and this is after a hard fought with the reporter (he snap so many pics, and not enough he holds the car went it move and push me aside, damn angry i powered him off, really wants to give a smack at his head, NIAMAH)
It was 3.40pm when RPK zooms off in the Rolls Royce. By the time i reach home, it was 5pm, after a bath and little rest, off i go to Seremban for the candle vigil.
Just like last week, Pakatan Rakyat’s MP were here at the Seremban Park with many supporters to call for an end to ISA. Of course, in the minds of many of us, we are waiting for RPK to arrive.
YB Anthony Loke of DAP, reminds the people that RPK’s release is not by the BN government, but by the Judge, by the court of law. While the PR is doing everything they could to end ISA, the Barisan Nasional is doing nothing. Desiderata also told us that he and Angela had told MCA, Gerakan & MIC, and it’s not our fault if they don’t come, it’s just that they don’t want to fight this with the Rakyat.
A representative from Angkatan Muda Keadilan, Ramlan if i’m not wrong, (sorry, i’m just too tired, cannot concentrate well) also have a good news, Anwar Ibrahim whose case also heard today at the Magistrate court will NOT be transfered to the high court, so i guess this is Double Happiness.
Some people from PAS, including YB Taufik also addresing the crowd.
Later, our Hero RPK arrives!!!!!
RPK’s speech; I’m now free, i thank you all, for your supports. Now that i’m free, i have a message from those ISA detainees still in Kamunting. They have been there for so long, the longest is 8 years. I have meet almost all of them, they don’t look like terrorist to me, and i can’t see how they can threaten the country. When i was inside, they took care of me, they offered me bread and stuff, they care for my wellbeing, but i said i’m just here for 2 months, you should care about yourself, not me. They said their life inside is OK, they begin to accept the way of life inside the camp. The Hindraf people, they said when i get in, the people’s outside will forget about me, and i’m on my own. They have been there for 11 months, but they have lost hope. If a prisoner was sentence to prison, at least he know his arrest have a date, say for a year, they know that they will be release after a year, but for ISA detainees, we don’t know for how long we will be detained. The only thing we know is how long we have been detained, and knowing that the longest detainee is 30 years!!! so what is hope for them? A person can survived if they have hope, took it away and they’ll surferes. Now i’m free, but there are 60 more inside, the only way is to abolish ISA, but with the present government, there’s little we can do, so again, Pakatan Rakyat has to take over.
Marina also talks to the crowd,
I’m very happy with his release. When we get home, i told, we have to go to Seremban, and he ask me Huh for what? I said we have candle vigil tonight, and i’ve promise you will come to meet with the people who have supports you.
Desiderata takes over from there, and we continues with poems and songs.
Everyone was trying to get a picture with RPK, i managed to get mine after some time
hehe
Zorro also told the crowd that we need to get this on, continues until all the ISA be released even without his presence or RPK or MArina, because more vigils will be held nationwide, with thsi sunday going to Ipoh.
Haris Ibrahim ; This morning, when i look back at the gallery it was full. If this is 2 years back, i can say there’ll be nobody there, but now we have all comes out.
At about 9.30pm, RPK and Marina wants to left, and before he left ;
I want to go back now, very tired. Thanks all for coming.
By this time, i’m also very tired. Said my farewells and i go off…….z.z.z.zzZZZZZ
Remember guys every Friday at Seremban Park 8pm, you have a date.
