Just came back from our weekly event. Today, our 12th vigil turns out to be a SILENT VIGIL.

Yes we were all in SILENT MODE. Again, this week we were blocked by the police who set up some road blocks around MBPJ, turning all the cars away. As soon as Haris arrived, he told us that Richard Yeoh is not coming this week. He met a few councilors few days ago, which they told him to apply for a permit. To this Haris stood on his ground that he doesn’t believe that we need a permit for gathering peacefully as enshrined in our Constitution. Yup i fully agree with this, to hell with the permit. What is the use of a permit that says YOU CAN’T LIGHT CANDLES, YOU CAN’T SHOW SYMPATHY TOWARDS ISA DETAINEES, YOU CAN’T WEAR SHIRTS THAT SHOWED YOU ARE AGAINST ISA, NO BANNERS etc.. oh i forgot, they also require YOU to gather inside a building. so how can YOU abide by that? More than TWO person gathered in open area (park, car park, roadside, highway, etc) can be regarded as ILLEGAL GATHERING, so how can YOU agree with this?

Anyway, today there were many Special Branch officers, armed with cameras and videocams. Road blocks were set to deter people turning up, and there’s also fear of arrest, so Haris make it clear right from the start that WE DON’T HAVE A PERMIT, so those who feel uncomfortable can go, but NO ONE GO AWAY, WE STOOD OUR GROUND AND LIGHT UP OUR CANDLES. Aloysius remind us of the passing of Negeri Sembilan Ruler Tuanku Jafar, we observed a minute silent as a mark of respect.

From there on, it’s a SILENT VIGIL.

It was silent until Zorro stood up and said “Well i can’t stand just sit there and do nothing!!!”

Give yourself a clap for not leaving. Thank you all for not leaving. I’m angry with the Pakatan Rakyat MPs, we voted them in, but they didn’t help us now, i’ll give them another chance next week, hope they can help us.
