A peek to the future….Cronyism, from worse to WORST!!!

Posted on: December 18, 2008

This is what we expect to get from Najib when he take over as the PM next March;

The Government has no objection in principle to the request by Sime Darby Bhd to acquire a stake in the National Heart Institute (IJN), Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said (The Star 18/12/08).

The National Heart Institute’s (IJN) fees would continue to be regulated by the Government despite the privatisation plan.

Health Minister Datuk Liow Tiong Lai said that IJN’s existing modus operandi would continue.

”I would like to reiterate that the fee structure is currently set by theGovernment.

”It will be the same, even in the future so IJN cannot charge higher than what is allowed by the Government,” he said here on Thursday. (The Star 18/12/08)

IJN is the TOP government institution, why hand over a top institution to the private company aka CRONY? If it’s not for making HUGE PROFIT then for what? Huh taking care of the poor ah? Isn’t IJN is cheap enough for the poors to get HIGH QUALITY treatment, so why privatise? If Sime Darby or any private companies wants to get a stake in health institute, then asked them to take those that are really in poor condition, those hospitals in the rural areas, like in Sabah & Sarawak. At least they can improve on that and also helps the government, didn’t one of the reason to go for privatisation in to get better quality? Of course i am stupid in making this statement, but then if NAJIB thinks the RAKYAT is stupid enough to believe his words, then i guess we all know just how his administration will treat the people in future. Now expect the poor gets poorer and the rich be richer. The government just can’t stand the good thing enjoy by the people can they? It’s just so clear that the BARISAN NASIONAL never thinks of the people, what they care is PROFIT.

On Sime Darby, i guess this is what we can expect;

EVEN after two landslips, Sime Darby Bhd has yet to keep to its promise to rehabilitate the hill slope along Jalan SS17/1G.

The rehabilitation works were supposed to have started in November but no action has been taken yet. A signboard erected by the company at the site only stated that there would be work carried out in the area but the date was not stated. (The Star Metro 18/12/08)

Although it’s unrelated, but i guess this is not a good sign.
